All you need to know before visiting Entebbe Zoo

Entebbe Zoo {Uganda Wildlife Education Centre} UWEC

The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) opened in 1952 as a place to care for injured and orphaned wild animals. In 1956, it became an animal orphanage, and by 1962, it was a National Zoo. In 1994, it was transformed into a conservation area. It is located in Entebbe, just a 10-minute drive from the airport, and is a great place to start a safari in Uganda.
